Current choral scholars

The choral scholarships support talented young musicians and give them the opportunity to involve themselves in high-quality choral music in a parish church setting. This year's scholars are an international group with beautiful voices and diverse interests.

Emilie Brégeon, soprano

Emilie, a native of France, holds her Diplome in Drama from the Sorbonne in Paris, and her Bachelor of Music from Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She returns there for this academic year as a postgraduate, studying with Rudolf Piernay.

Emilie is particularly interested in opera, contemporary music, and sacred music. She recently performed the Te Deum by Charpentier under the direction of Christian Curnyn at St Giles Church, Barbican; A Fountain Sealed by Nathan Williamson for the Grimebourne Festival at the Arcola Theatre in London; and will sing the role of Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro in October in France. She will also participate in the next Oxford Lieder Festival, which is dedicated to Franz Schubert.

Bruno Ancelin, tenor

Bruno was born in France and initially studied engineering in Paris. After a short career in medical imaging at Siemens in Oxford, Bruno joined the BMus programme at Guildhall where he now studies singing with David Pollard.

This year, Bruno toured around Europe in Rossini's Tancredi with English Voices and the Orchestre des Champs-Elysees under Rene Jacobs and Tim Brown. He also performs with the Oxford Bach Choir and the Arcadian Singers of Oxford University.

Before joining the All Saints Choir, Bruno was a choral scholar at St John's, Hyde Park, under Robert Greenhill.
