The
choral scholarships support talented young musicians and give them
the opportunity to involve themselves in high-quality choral music
in a parish church setting. This year's scholars are an international
group with beautiful voices and diverse interests.

Emilie
Brégeon, soprano
Emilie,
a native of France, holds her Diplome in Drama from
the Sorbonne in Paris, and her Bachelor of Music from
Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She returns there
for this academic year as a postgraduate, studying with
Rudolf Piernay.
Emilie
is particularly interested in opera, contemporary music,
and sacred music. She recently performed the Te
Deum by Charpentier under the direction of Christian
Curnyn at St Giles Church, Barbican; A Fountain
Sealed by Nathan Williamson for the Grimebourne
Festival at the Arcola Theatre in London; and will sing
the role of Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro in October
in France. She will also participate in the next Oxford
Lieder Festival, which is dedicated to Franz Schubert.

Bruno
Ancelin, tenor
Bruno
was born in France and initially studied engineering
in Paris. After a short career in medical imaging at
Siemens in Oxford, Bruno joined the BMus programme at
Guildhall where he now studies singing with David Pollard.
This
year, Bruno toured around Europe in Rossini's Tancredi
with English Voices and the Orchestre des Champs-Elysees
under Rene Jacobs and Tim Brown. He also performs with
the Oxford Bach Choir and the Arcadian Singers of Oxford
University.
Before
joining the All Saints Choir, Bruno was a choral scholar
at St John's, Hyde Park, under Robert Greenhill. |
